SPEECH WRITING

Speech writing means preparing the text material for oral presentation of your stand on some topic. As a written composition, speech is not much different from an article. It is so because both have a beginning, middle and ending or conclusion. Both are aimed at presenting the idea of the writer on some topic.

However, speech is written to be delivered personally in front of the people. It is for this reason that speech is quite interactive in tone. A speech writer has to keep in mind the level, interest and nature of the audience before beginning to write it.

 

FORMAT OF SPEECH WRITING


There is no format for speech writing it is written like what we are going to speak in front of our audience. Means, first we introduce our self an then we will introduce our respected audience. Then we used to write our whole speech that we are going to dictate and then at last thank you.

Only this much points are to be remembered for perfect speech writing.

 

POINTS TO BE REMEMBERED WHILE WRITING SPEECH


    1)   Use quotation to catch attention of audience.


2)   Make a formal greeting to respected audience and also introduce yourself to audience.


3)   Then starts with some fascinating lines that may introduce your topic.


4)   Shooting questions to the audience and answering them like: May I ask you?, Can you believe?, Have you ever heard?, Do you know?, etc.


5)   Use proper punctuation marks to make your speech more natural.


6)   Follow the word limit of 150 words.


7)   Try to relate your speech with your audience by using the words like: we and our.


8)   Make your speech to point-to-point and avoid rambling.


    9)   Use powerful sentences for concluding the speech to remind the objective behind your speech and this makes natural ending.

10) At last don’t forgot to thanks your audience for their patient heading.

Q. Write a speech on the topic “Achievements of my school”. Write the speech in about 150 words.

 

ACHIEVEMENTS OF MY SCHOOL


Good morning to you all. I Reena Bansal and it is my privilege to speak about the achievements of my school. We feel proud that we are the students of one of the best schools in the city. The motto of our school is “excellence in education”. Here education is imparted to make the students know about things and to inculcate values. Discipline is one of the major aspect that is focused in our school.
 
Teachers are friendly and approachable. They guide, mentor and inspire everyone to perform well. Teachers are understanding and capable enough to bring out one’s hidden potential. Students are taught through smart digital classes.
 
Our school provides world class infrastructure for academics, sports and co-curricular activities. A number of co-curricular competitions are organized to develop the various dimensions of student’s personality. It provides environment friendly zone to study. Many students of our school have been successfully placed in prestigious institution like: IIT, IIM, etc. I love my school. This is one of the best school in the city.
