SECURITY SHELL PROTOCOLS
These are the protocols that are used to create a security shell or layer over the simple or encrypted transmission of data. To secure the normal transmission or secured transmission.
SSL
SSL stands for Secure Socket Layer
We use SSL to create a secure connection over our normal unsecured connection.
Basically, SSL used to create a layer of encryption on our normal connection which is not secured.
In the nutshell, we can say that it used to encrypt our unsecured data.
TLS
TLS stands for Transport Layer Security
TLS is use to establish a secure connection between computer
network and data and they used to create a secure connection over a SSL
connection.
Basically, TLS used to establish a security layer over an
encrypted connection.
So, SSL is successive to TLS.
HTTPS
HTTP stands for Hypertext transfer protocol
HTTPS stands for Hypertext transfer protocol secure
As we known about HTTP while, HTTPS is secure HTTP means it used to create a secure connection of HTTP types of connections.
Before, year 2015 our all the websites on Google are in http protocol means before 2015 our Google website are not secured, but when in 2015 this https technology came market, our all the Google website of http protocol switched to https protocol. So, this was the fact Google websites security before 2015 and after 2015.
HTTPS EVERYWHERE
HTTPS everywhere sets the connection of HTTPS protocol for
all the pages that support the HTTP and HTTPS types of protocols.
Initially, HTTPS everywhere technology was first introduced for Firefox browser in 2010 an later it was also get introduced for Chrome browser as well.
