Now-a-days, the most precious thing of our life is our phone, mobile, laptop and technology. Without this technology our life used to get stuck. We used to do our each and every work with digitally like: ordering food, online shopping, surfing information, chatting and even our offices and schools are going digitally.

We uses our devices for personal as well as professional and official works. So, we need security of our data as our data has many secret information, which need to be secure. We use many security protocols to secure them. Even, we are provided with many protocols and we use them in our daily life but, we are not aware about their uses.

Like: http, https we commonly see these both protocols on Google but we are not aware about its uses.

 

MEANING OF PROTOCOL


Protocols are set of rules that helps to communicate and transmitting data over internet.

 

SOME SECURITY PROTOCOLS

TCP/IP PROTOCOL


TCP stands for Transmission control protocol
IP stands for Internet protocol

TCP protocol used to divide our data into small packets so that it can easily to destination or server. While IP protocol is used to name or address to those small packets of data that are divided by using TCP protocols.

 

ENCRYPTION


Encryption is the process in which normal or plain text is converted into cipher text. It help to save guard our data form criminals to read them. We used to scramble the data that we our transmitting over internet.

Encrypted text is known as cipher text.
Unencrypted text is known as plain text.

 

HTTP PROTOCOL

 

This term http we usually see on Google websites. Basically, we use this protocol to create one time connection of our remote devices with server so, that we can request for HTML pages, websites and other formats.

First, we used to send the request to server for some pages and then we used to receive the pages and then the connection gets switch off.
