ANALYTICAL PARAGRAPH WRITING


The analytical paragraph writing can easily be mean by its name only, that a paragraph written after analysing anything.

This concept of analytical paragraph we use and see in our surrounding and we also used them in our day-to-day life. Whenever we find any chart, graph or report we normally just produce the paragraph on the basis of the detail we have in the chart, graph or report, so that is nothing different it is analytical paragraph only, because that paragraph is written after analysing anything.
So analytical paragraph is the paragraph written after analysing something.

 

FORMAT OF WRITING ANALYTICAL PARAGRAPH


There is no special format for analytical paragraph like: notice or message, it is just a simple paragraph.

    It is also a short composition writing so it also has word limit till 100-120 words only.
 
FORMAT OF ANALYTICAL PARAGRAPH:
1)   Title for analytical paragraph
2)   Main paragraph (written after analysing something)

 

POINTS TO BE REMEMBER WHILE WRITING ANALYTICAL PARAGRAPH


    a)   Firstly, read the question properly and properly see and analyse the given graph, chart or report and then think about the given content.

b)   Write all points in rough side that you get after analysing the content.

c)    Write the title for your paragraph (title should be of 3-4 words).

d)   Write the main paragraph with the help of those points that we have write in rough side.

e)   Don’t forget about the word limit of 100-120 words because word limit matters.

f)     Analytical paragraph are formal paragraphs their language is formal not informal.

g)   It may have figures and quantities.


WORDS CAN BE USED WHILE WRITING ANALYTICAL PARAGRAPH

A pattern of growth, rapidly double, skyrocketed, striking increase, peaked, soaring rates, declined, plummeted, levelled off, stagnated, fluctuate, starting to rise, starting to fall, drop down, slightly (for describing trends)
 
One-third of, nearly, almost, majority, on average, twice as much, almost equal, the highest, the lowest, very close to, roughly, approximately, just under (for describing quantities)
 
Relationship between, similarly, in contrast with, in comparison to, but in the opposite case, however, whereas, when it comes to, as opposed to, while, striking difference, noticeable difference ( for establishing contrast and relationship)
 
Overall, subsequently, in all, in a nutshell, in short, including, therefore, striking changes (for conclusion)

 

EXAMPLE

Q. Below is a graph given showing birth and death rates in a country from 1901-2101. Write an analytical paragraph (100-150 words).

 


On analysing the above the given line graph we can analyse that it illustrates the birth and death rates in a country from 1901-2101.
 
After the survey conducted the result shows that day-by-day the death rate is at soaring rate because of current critical time of pandemic. We can analyse that during 1901-1940 the birth rate and death rate are almost equal. After that during 1941-2018 the death rate slightly increasing and the birth rate has skyrocketed. But from 2019-2101 the death rate peaked as comparison to birth rate because of this covid-19 pandemic. In the nutshell, we can say that the time from 1901-2018 was heaven of angels but our today and upcoming future is not safe because of today’s and upcoming shower of viruses.
